Commercial Access Control
Access Control Systems provide the most flexible way of ensuring the right people have access to the right areas of your building, while protecting assets, information, and staff. Solutions can be achieved by installing a simple but effective code entry keypad or a more complex networked proximity card, fob or even a biometric recognition system. The most common system for Commercial applications is a PC based system, as it gives total control of access by your staff and visitors, assigning times, dates and certain access rights to all of the card holders, including terminating access.

The two main types of access control for Commercial & Residential Applications are:
Standalone access control systems
Standalone access control systems comprise of a singular keypad/reader or a small network of card readers controlled by local door controllers. These systems are suitable for one or two door installations within small offices, private houses, building sites, schools or retail units.
Computer based Access Control Systems
Computer-based Access Control Systems often referred to as ‘networked access control. These systems can control from one to thousands of doors and all control is from one main computer system. The computer software can access and update all doors and can grant different access levels for groups or individual users.
In the event of an emergency, systems can be configured to automatically open all managed doors to that personnel have quick and uninhibited egress of the building. It can also be used to log entry/exit times and add and remove users. These systems are most suitable for multi-door and/or multi-site installations within larger offices, large residential developments, industrial units, warehouses, hospitals and universities.s.
